NORTH PERTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RECEIVES AWARD FROM ONTARIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
TORONTO: The Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) has recognized the North Perth Chamber of Commerce (NPCC) for their innovation in the development of their Home & Lifestyles Show.
This initiative has been exceptionally successful for the chamber and its community. The Home & Lifestyles Show has brought awareness to the community, as well as serving as a "one stop shop" for visitors. Promoting local businesses is important for communities in order to keep consumers buying locally.
"Clearly the chamber has found a format and a successful event that serves its community well," says Len Crispino, President & CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
This initiative has doubled the number of vendors in the last four years, as well as more than doubling the number of visitors to the event. The Home & Lifestyles Show has allowed for an increased revenue stream for the NPCC while contributing to the stability of business within their community.
Other Awards presented at the Annual General Meeting and Convention in Orangeville were the Richard A. Dolphin Award for Community Service and the Advocacy Award for Policy Efforts.
